Looking at Sweetcheeks today, you’d probably think life has always been easy for him. With those big chubby cheeks and sturdy build, he certainly looks like he could have ruled the streets.

But the truth is quite the opposite.

Sweetcheeks spent years surviving outdoors in a colony where the cats were fed little more than rice. Gentle by nature, he was often bullied by the other cats. The scars he carries are quiet reminders that life on the streets is anything but kind.

Despite everything he’s been through, Sweetcheeks has remained one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet.

He absolutely loves being brushed and petted, and if you dare stop too soon, he’ll gently bump you with his head to politely request more 🥹.

His perfect day? Lounging on a cat tree by a big sunny window, watching the world go by and soaking up every warm ray of sunshine ☀️.

When he’s feeling playful, he enjoys wand toys, little toy mice, and chasing balls around the house. He’s happy entertaining himself, but he’ll never say no to a play session with his favorite humans.

Sweetcheeks would be happiest as the only cat in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention he never had before. That said, he previously lived peacefully with a gentle female cat named Marie from the same colony, so the right calm companion could be considered.
