Savane: From Alleyways to Happiness
Savane is a tabby cat with gentle eyes and a tender heart. For a long time, he lived in the alleyways of Montreal, where each day he searched for a safe corner, a little food, and sometimes a fleeting caress. Despite the dangers of the street, he remained playful, curious, and always ready to extend a paw to make new friends.
Like so many others, he could have disappeared in indifference—sick or hungry—leaving behind a lineage condemned to the same harsh life. But the caretaker of his colony and Refuge A.B.C.’S. watched over him. Thanks to his sterilization and the care he received, Savane was able to experience something beyond mere survival: safety and tenderness.
Little by little, he reached out. His tractor-like purrs replaced the loud meows of a stray, until the day he chose to step inside a carrier, opening the door to a new life.
Today, Savane is no longer a stray. He is the gentle guardian of his home and the inseparable companion of Tite-fille, a little black panther as playful as he is. His story reminds us why our mission is essential: to give stray cats the chance to be loved, and to prevent countless births destined for life on the streets.
