🐾✨ Meet Maïka — Part Cat, Part Little Dog… and Always in Your Business! 🐱🐶💕

Maïka is an incredibly lovable, social and curious girl with a personality she wears proudly 😹. A true little cat-dog, she’ll greet you at the door, supervise whatever is happening around the house and follow her humans pretty much everywhere.

Getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom? No worries, Maïka will come with you. Clearly, you shouldn’t be making that journey alone 😅. She loves being part of everyday life and really thrives on human company. She also does very well with calm, respectful children.

When it comes to affection, Maïka knows exactly what she wants. When she decides it’s cuddle time, she’ll come looking for pets, dramatically flop down beside you with her belly in the air and turn on the purr motor 🥰. But if she’s not in the mood to be touched, she’ll simply dodge your hand with all the subtlety of a lady who knows her boundaries 😹.

With new people, she can be a little more reserved about being touched, but hiding? Absolutely not. She remains curious and social and will happily come investigate whoever just walked into her house.

And the little-dog behaviour doesn’t stop there 🐶.

Maïka ADORES the big Bernese Mountain Dog in her foster home. She curls up against him almost every day, plays with his toys… and steals his kibble, obviously. At mealtime, she even waits for her little after-dinner reward just like he does. Although if your dinner smells particularly delicious, her ability to wait patiently may suddenly become very limited 😂.

Maïka naturally seeks out the company of other animals and can form beautiful bonds with them. The catch? Madame can be a little intense about her friendships. 😅 She doesn’t always understand when another animal would like some personal space… while fully expecting her own boundaries to be respected.

With the wrong personality match, this can create tension. For that reason, we will strongly prioritize a pet-free home, where Maïka can focus all that social energy on her humans. Living with another animal could still be considered on a case-by-case basis with a very calm, tolerant and respectful pet whose temperament is well known.

Maïka isn’t simply looking for someone to fill her bowl and give her a few pets in passing. She’s looking for her humans — the ones whose daily lives she can share, whose activities she can supervise, whom she can escort to the bathroom, and whose after-dinner routine she can patiently… or almost patiently… participate in.
