👑 Meet Catherine the Great – The Queen Who Reclaimed Her Throne

Like so many cats who come through our rescue, Catherine’s story begins with a sentence we hear far too often: “We have to rehome her because of allergies.”

When Catherine arrived at 10 years old, she was overweight, eating poor-quality food, and her once-beautiful coat had become greasy, dull, and neglected. She spent much of the night wandering around the house, unsure of what to do… which usually meant stopping for another snack before going back to bed.

Today, Catherine truly lives up to her royal name once again.

With a healthy diet, a daily play routine she now eagerly looks forward to, lots of enrichment… and countless brushing sessions (her absolute favorite 😹), she has completely transformed.

She lost weight slowly and healthily by building muscle rather than simply getting smaller. Her coat is now incredibly soft and shiny, she sleeps peacefully through the night curled up beside her foster family, and she chases her toys with the enthusiasm of a kitten.

Catherine would make an incredible companion for someone who works from home. She’s the perfect coworker—always nearby without ever being demanding. And when bedtime comes around, she transforms into a world-class cuddle buddy.
